SEVP Portal to be offline the night of November 5 for Release 6.13 upgrade

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program announced on November 2 that it will take the SEVP Portal offline from 8 p.m. ET Thursday, November 5, to midnight ET Friday, November 6, 2026, to deploy Release 6.13. SEVP describes the release as a general system upgrade with no new functionality for students. Users cannot reach the portal during the outage, and SEVP says it will not send a follow-up email once service returns. Changes made to student records in SEVIS during that time will appear in the portal after it is back online. The notice is operational guidance and does not change any rule or deadline.
