SEVP opens annual verification of school officials December 2; deadline March 2, 2027

The Student and Exchange Visitor Program announced on November 2 that the annual SEVIS verification of school officials begins December 2, 2026. Principal designated school officials and responsible officers must confirm that every DSO, PDSO, RO and ARO is still employed and still needs SEVIS access, and schools and State Department sponsors must finish by March 2, 2027. SEVP says unverified officials lose SEVIS and Batch access on March 3, and that a school with unverified officials is out of compliance with record-keeping and reporting rules and could face action up to withdrawal. The notice is guidance, not a rule.
