The short version: HenryKnows is built to know as little about you as possible. Most of what you do here stays in your own browser, the little we do keep is minimal and short-lived, and we don't sell or rent any of it — ever.

What stays in your browser (we never receive or store it)

• Calculator scenarios. The Duration Rules Calculator keeps your in-progress answers in your browser's own session storage. Clearing your browser data clears them.
• Attached PDFs. If you attach a document in chat, the text is extracted inside your browser — the file itself never leaves your device.
• Your preferences. Settings like the Professional/Student answer mode live in your browser's local storage.

The little we do keep, and for how long

• Account email — only if you sign up (Google Sign-In or an email code), to operate your account. Stored records are keyed to a hashed form of it.
• Chat conversations — kept for signed-in users so you can revisit them, and deleted automatically after 7 days. You can delete any conversation sooner from the Recent chats menu.
• Saved answers — a paid feature; kept until you delete them, because that's the point of saving them.
• Payments — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Contact messages — kept so we can respond.

Questions you ask are sent to our AI provider to generate the answer and are not used to train models.

What we don't do

• No selling or renting personal information.
• No advertising and no third-party ad trackers.
• No profiles built about you. We ask you not to include student names, SEVIS IDs, or other identifiers in questions — the product is designed to work without them.

Your choices

Delete conversations and saved answers in-app anytime. For account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us and we'll take care of it.
